Void Codex

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Short version

Void Codex does not collect or store your personal information. There are no accounts, analytics, or tracking, and no internet connection is required to use the app or play in Connected Mode. Connected Mode shares relevant game information directly between devices on your local network; it is not sent to Void Axis or a remote server. Game-history files that you choose to export are saved directly to your own device.

What information Void Codex collects

Void Codex does not collect any personal information. Specifically:

  • No account creation, sign-in, or login of any kind
  • No name, email address, phone number, or contact information is requested or stored
  • No location data is accessed
  • No advertising identifiers, analytics SDKs, or tracking technologies are used
  • No data is sent to Void Axis or a remote server during normal use

Information you choose to enter

During normal use, you may optionally enter player names, commander names, and custom colour choices for a game session. This information is:

  • Stored only in the app's temporary memory while a game is in progress
  • Shared only with the devices in your local Connected Mode session when you use that feature
  • Cleared when you end or reset a game, unless you choose to export it (see below)

Game export files

Void Codex includes an optional “Export game data” feature. When you use this feature, the app creates a text file (in JSON format) on your own device containing:

  • Player names and commander names you entered for that game (if any)
  • Final life totals, poison counters, and commander damage for each player
  • Turn counts and turn timing statistics
  • A timestamped history of in-game actions (life changes, turn changes, etc.)

This file is written directly to your device's local storage using Apple's standard file system APIs. It is not uploaded or sent to Void Codex, Void Axis, or any third party. You are solely responsible for what you do with this file after it's created — including whether you delete it, keep it, or manually share it yourself through other apps on your device.

Third-party services

Void Codex does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing services. Connected Mode may request Local Network access on iPhone or iPad so participating devices can communicate directly within a local game session. Internet access is not required for normal Connected Mode gameplay.

Children's privacy

Void Codex does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13, because the app does not collect information from anyone at all. The app is a utility tool for tracking tabletop game scores and contains no user-generated content sharing, chat, or social features of any kind.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version adds an optional cloud-sync feature — this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date above will reflect the change. We encourage checking this page directly if you have concerns.
